#PartnershipActivityUpdate | Women’s Fund Fiji (WFF) remains committed to Advancing the Human Rights of Persons with Disabilities in Fiji.
Since 2018, WFF has invested over FJD $1.2 million in support to the Fiji Disabled Peoples Federation and its affiliates, empowering women and girls with disabilities to take on leadership roles and participate actively in decision-making.
Officiating at the opening of the 2024 FDPF Biennial Meeting this morning, marking 40 years of advocacyWomen’s Fund Fiji’s Acting Executive Director Vicky Yee highlighted WFF’s continued commitment to strengthening FDPF through organizational support, mentorship, and capacity-building initiatives.
“We’ve witnessed the incredible impact FDPF’s programs have had, helping women with disabilities become leaders and key decision-makers,” Ms. Vicky Yee said.
FDPF President Lanieta Tuimabu thanked WFF for their ongoing support: “WFF is more than a donor; they are true partners, providing technical assistance that has strengthened our governance and empowered women and girls with disabilities.”
She also acknowledged the Australian Government Department of Foreign Affairs and Trades for their tremendous support through WFF which fully embraced the principle of “Nothing about us is without us.”
